What should I compare before choosing cover?
Seychelles car rental insurance is part of each car’s offer: the offer shows the included cover, the excess and any optional protection.
For the cars offered for airport pickup, the cover shown is for that car and those dates. Optional protection has its own terms, shown in the offer.
Which parts are excluded from standard insurance?
Standard insurance does not cover damage to the wheels, undercarriage, windscreen or interior of the car. The available rentals on Mahé each show their own insurance details, because the country terms set no single excess for every car. Optional protection, where offered, has its own terms.

Is an excess the same as a deposit?
No. The excess is the part of a covered claim the renter pays. The deposit is security held by the rental company.
Your deposit arrangements are in the booking’s payment conditions, and the cover is in the insurance terms of the same offer. Each offer shows both amounts.
What must I do after an insured incident?
You must notify the rental agent immediately and obtain a police report, unless agreed otherwise with the agent. If you do not, the insurance is cancelled and you are fully responsible.
The rental company’s contact details are in the email sent after booking. A booking for your next car on Praslin has its own company and its own contact.
Choose your rental datesCan road choice affect the rental conditions?
Rental cars may be driven only on paved public roads, and travel outside the car’s home island is prohibited. Both rules apply while driving on the islands. The insurance is invalid for deliberate damage caused by vandalism or neglect.

What should be recorded before driving away?
A car returned so dirty that it hinders inspection is washed at the renter’s expense.
The car goes back with the fuel level it had at pickup; missing fuel is charged at the company’s rates, and extra fuel is not refunded.
How do I make a final comparison?
The driver must meet the car’s minimum age and driving experience and hold a valid physical licence. A physical embossed credit card in the main driver’s name may also be required.
If the booking changes car or dates, the new offer shows its own cover and excess. If the company cannot provide the booked car because of a breakdown, it must supply one of the same or a higher class on the same terms.
