Which island do I need the car on?

Seychelles International Airport is on Mahé, so an airport rental search starts on Mahé. Praslin has a separate search with its own airport, ferry harbour and city delivery. A rental car may not leave its home island.

A stay on both islands therefore needs two cars and two bookings, each with its own rental company, pickup time and return. The crossing between the islands is not part of either rental.

Can collection and return be in different places?

The search can set a different return place on the same island. The car stays on its home island.

How do the collection times affect my rental?

The minimum chargeable period is 24 hours, and a started extra day is charged as a full day. A rental from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon is charged as two days.

What should I check at every collection?

The driver shows a valid physical national licence with its details also in Latin script, valid until the last rental day; copies and electronic licences are not accepted. The car goes back with the fuel level it had at pickup; missing fuel is charged at the company’s rates. Standard insurance does not cover the wheels, undercarriage, windscreen or interior, and after an insured event you must notify the rental agent immediately and obtain a police report, unless agreed otherwise.
